Types of Conversion
"Velux" Rooflight Loft Conversion
A Rooflight loft conversion is a loft conversion that does not involve any roof extensions or dormers. The conversion only includes rooflights. This type of conversion may be a preferred type of conversion for a number of reasons.
It is more suitable to those seeking a smaller conversion or those properties where a dormer is not necessary for the conversion to proceed. In some conservation areas where dormers are not permitted, a rooflight conversion is the only option. There is no limit on the number of rooflights you can have.
There are endless sizes and options for rooflights- we only fit "Velux" branded rooflights, they can be centre pivoted or top opening, there are also "Cabrio" and "Terrace" style variations.

Dormer Conversion
This loft conversion is similar to a roof light but with with a dormer window, the dormer can be a flat roof, pitched roof or pitched roof with a gable.
If you have a hipped roof or you want a bigger loft a dormer loft conversion is for you. Master suites are the "in" thing, with big rear dormers whch enable a big bedroom that has an en-suite and dressing area. Essentially a dormer provides headroom which is invaluble in your roofspace.
Flat roof dormers have a dramatic effect the size of the loft conversion space. Although flat roofs have a bad reputation our flatroof are not actualy flat, they do have a fall and our unique three layer flat roof system is guaranteed for 10 years not to leak. The face and cheek of the dormer is usually tile hung to blend in and match your roof.

En-Suite
In a loft conversion an en-suite normally has a shower, not a bath, and thus can be contained in a compact space. If there is room an en-suite fits easily in a loft conversion.
